That's the way to do it!
Based in YORKSHIRE Tony Clarke (Professor Robanti) performs a traditional Punch and Judy show delighting audiences of all ages with its timeless humour and classic characters.
Born into a legacy of Punch and Judy, I took my first steps into the world of Mr Punch on Gorleston Beach, Norfolk, in September 1976. Following in my father's footsteps, I performed my inaugural show in the same beach booth he used for his first season after relocating from London. The passion for this traditional puppet show runs deep in my veins, driving me to continue the legacy and bring joy to audiences with the classic characters and slapstick humour. What began as a family tradition has evolved into a lifelong dedication to the art of Punch and Judy, allowing me to carry forward a cherished heritage while putting my own spin on this timeless form of entertainment.

I have many regular bookings each year, with an impressive 26 years of one continuous booking for an event under my belt, I hope to have many more years still to come. I like to go and try new places to spread the word of Mr Punch.
It still amazes me how the children love the show. Their laughter and smiles are what drive me to continue doing what I love. Connecting with young audiences and bringing joy into their lives through my performances is a rewarding and humbling experience. I am grateful for the support I receive from audiences, both young and old, and I am committed to using my platform to inspire and uplift others and keep the tradition going. Most children do not have any preconceived idea of what they are watching, but they get it in no time. I have performed to non-english speaking audiences all over the world and they all get it. Well done, Mr Punch - that is the "way to do it!".
